Fruitful Thinking

Hi, my name is Annie and I want to welcome you to my first blog post. This is new territory for me so I will try not to talk too much!

I recently published a book for Christian women titled, Fruit Flies in Our Faith: Nurturing and Sharing the Fruit of the Spirit, based on Galatians 5:22-23,

“The Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control…”

As Christian women in today’s busy world it can be hard to keep our spiritual balance. We often long for a closer walk with God—a more Spirit-led life. I wrote a book I needed to read. A book about how to recognize the stumbling blocks (Fruit Flies) that keep us from living out the Fruit of the Spirit and to begin to rid them from our lives.

However, I still have a notebook filled with quotes, ideas, thoughts and experiences pertaining to some aspect of the Fruit of the Spirit not included in the book. I would love to share them with you and hear your thoughts.

You and I may be different in many ways but, as women, we are also very much the same. Let’s get together once a week (Wednesdays work for me) and share about nurturing and sharing the qualities of the Fruit of the Spirit in our daily lives.

I will dig into my notebook and pull out a bit of writing that gets me thinking. Or maybe a Scripture that captures my heart and I think will capture yours. Often it may be an event in my daily life that triggers a response. We will stick to the Fruit of the Spirit. There is so much there to think about and pray about. To live and to share.

I can’t wait for our first visit. Blessings, Annie.
